PASTOR JEAN KINUTHIA
SENIOR PASTOR | FAITH4LIFE | NAIROBI, KENYA
Praise the Lord and welcome to day 21 of 30 days of prayer. Today we are going to pray for opportunities to witness to others. The word witness has to do with testifying, and in this case it is in Whom you believe in—your faith in God and what He has done for you. Yesterday we prayed that the Gospel spreads worldwide. And you know, that has to happen through you and I.Mark chapter 16, verse 15reads,“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”Jesus gave that commandment to every believer, and we want to pray today to ask God for opportunities to do that.It might be that He has already laid somebody on your heart, and as we pray for the opportunity to minister to others, you can seek God on His methodology for that particular person. God knows what they need to hear, and He can share that with you.
Also pray that their minds will no longer be blinded, that the light of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ will shine on them, and that they will receive the Lord. Pray for yourself. Pray for boldness and pray for assurance. One might say,“There is no one really on my heart.”But you know, there are so many people that God wants us to share the Gospel with. It could be a family member, a work colleague, somebody on the street. Let’s trust God, as laborers, that He puts you on the path of one who needs to hear the Gospel so that you’re not just ready with what to say, but that you are alert to the leading of the Holy Spirit to know where it is that you need to go.
In Matthew chapter 4, verse 19, Jesus said,“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Jesus teaches us how to be effective in our witnessing. In the past, the Lord has led me to go out just once a week for about 20 minutes, and I have trusted Him to bring people to me that want to hear the Gospel. So as our paths cross, He gives me the words to say to them and they get born-again. Praise the Lord. So when we pray for these opportunities is to witness, we shall go on to believe we receive and have the opportunities. So that means we have to act out. It might be that the Lord sends you out on the street like He did me or that you join something that’s going on in your church. What I found out is that we just need to show up. He will speak to us and as we act on this, you are such an effective fisher of men.As you act on the opportunity to witness to others, God will do great things through you, in Jesus’ name
May God's word be able to spread all over the world and nations. In Jesus' name, Amen 🙏.
