DAY 28 | Pray for Wisdom and Direction

Pastor MiChelle Ferguson

EXECUTIVE PASTOR | WORD OF FAITH | SOUTHFIELD, MI

Hi everybody. Welcome to 30 days of prayer. Today we are praying such an important topic and that is getting wisdom and direction from God. We all face decisions in our lives and thank God that He has not left us to do this on our own. Proverbs 3, verses 5-6 says this, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Just a couple of things that I want to remind you of is that God’s wisdom is always superior to ours. We see that in this Scripture it is not leaning on our own understanding, but taking the time - which is what we are doing today - to actually seek God’s wisdom and advice for every area of our life.

The other thing is that God’s directions definitely brings us peace. Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:” And I just want to point out that word ‘steps’. It doesn’t say - let me put it this way - just by recognizing that there are steps. It really talks about how God is with us through every phase of our lives - the things like we feel are unimportant and the things that we feel like are important – everything that concerns you is important to God.

So that is what we are going to do today is take this time and seek direction from God, knowing that God’s way is always going to be higher than our ways and it is going to bring us peace because we know that if we are walking with Him, we are going in the right direction.
